'Movies Under The Stars' To Set Up Outdoor Theater In Forest Hills

It will launch with a screening of the animated movie 'Sing.'

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Forest Hills park is screening "Sing" as part of the NYC Parks Department's Movies Under the Stars series.

Forest Hills residents will get to enjoy the warm summer night while watching the 2016 movie "Sing" at Yellowstone Park. The screening will begin at 7.30 p.m. on July 10.

The animated movie features a koala that organizes a singing competition to save his theater. Among the musically talented fauna that attend the contest are a punk porcupine, a shy elephant and a teenage gorilla. It features Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey, Seth MacFarlane and Reese Witherspoon.

The event is first-come, first-served and there are no reservations, so make sure to get there early to grab a good seat. There will be a limited amount of chairs, but people are encouraged to bring something to sit on.

The event is sponsored by the New York City Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment and NYC Parks Department.
