New Queens Ikea Will Be The First Of Its Kind In The U.S.: Report
Yes, there will be Swedish meatballs.

REGO PARK, QUEENS — When Ikea opens its first Queens store in summer 2020, it will be unlike any other location in the United States.
The upcoming Queens Ikea in the Rego Center mall will feature a new hybrid format with portable products for purchase and "bigger-ticket items" like furniture that shoppers will get shipped to their homes, according to Business Insider.
Similar stores have opened in Hong Kong and Paris, but not in the United States, Leontyne Green Sykes, chief operating officer of IKEA Retail U.S., told Business Insider.

Instead of the traditional Ikea restaurant, the Queens store will offer a new grab-and-go eatery.
The new menu — specifically designed for the Rego Center location — will feature the Swedish company's iconic meatballs, plus salmon and veggie meatballs and a selection of side dishes, according to an Ikea spokesperson.

The recipes will change over time, the spokesperson said.
Ikea announced its plans for the 115,000-square-foot Queens store on Sept. 24.
"With a growing community of more than 900,000 households, Queens was a natural next destination for Ikea in New York City" Green Sykes said in a statement when the store was announced.
The Rego Park store will be Ikea's third location in New York City.
Manhattan's first Ikea store opened in April on the Upper East Side. The small-format location, called a "planning studio," allows shoppers to browse a number of pre-arranged rooms and get items shipped to their homes.
