NYC's First "EEEEEATSCON" Food Fest Comes To Forest Hills Stadium

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS -- If you're a true Instagram foodie, you're likely familiar with the #EEEEEATS hashtag.

The hashtag launched by dining website The Infatuation has taken Instagram by storm, captioning more than 11 million photos of gorgeous, mouthwatering dishes. For the first time in New York City, that online collage of craveable cuisine will come to life at the "EEEEEATSCON" food festival, The Infatuation announced on Monday.

Forest Hills Stadium will host The Infatuation's first NYC EEEEEATSCON on Oct. 6, just over a year after the website launched its signature food festival in Santa Monica, California.

And if you were wondering, no, this food festival won't be like the 23948723 others NYC seemingly hosts each year, at least not according to its curators at The Infatuation. EEEEEATSCON is "designed for people who want more from a food festival than just tasting-sized portions and cooking demonstrations," its website states.

But what more could there possibly be, you ask?

This food festival will feature a hand-picked selection of local restaurants blended together with imports from across the country serving food "you won't find anywhere else," its curators claim. It will also serve up live music performances throughout the day and panels of food industry leaders.

In other words, think of this as the foodie equivalent of a trendy music festival, "but with restaurants as the headliners."

Details on which eateries will be featured in NYC's first-ever EEEEEATSCON have yet to be released, but more information on the food festival is expected to become available through the summer, said a Forest Hills Stadium spokesman. Sign up to receive all the latest updates here.

Tickets go on sale June 19.

The Infatuation did not immediately return Patch's request for comment.
