Philly Pretzel Factory Opening Location In Forest Hills

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Queens native is opening the borough's first Philly Pretzel Factory location in Forest Hills.

Franchise owner Jose Villa will start serving the Philadelphia-based chain's signature, hand-twisted pretzels next week at 118-14 Queens Blvd., according to a news release.

"While growing up in Queens, my family and I have always been huge fans of this community," Villa said. "When you consider all the great shopping, the food and the events available, Forest Hills really is a unique city with a lot of diversity, and we are excited to be part of this community with Philly Pretzel Factory."

Founded in 1998, Philly Pretzel Factory supplements its classic pretzel offerings with a menu of pretzel dogs, pretzel cheesecakes and dipping sauces.

Villa's franchise joins more than 170 locations in 17 states, according to the company.

The Forest Hills store will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
