Plans Filed For 23-Story Apartment Tower In Rego Park
The complex, complete with a ground-floor retail space, would be one of the neighborhoods tallest buildings if approved, city records show.

REGO PARK, QUEENS -- A massive vacant corner site in Rego Park could soon become home to a 23-story apartment complex, city records show.
Developers filed plans on July 23 to build the 265-foot tower at 98-04 Queens Blvd., according to city records. If approved, it would become one of the tallest buildings in the Queens neighborhood.
The 384,625-square-foot building would create 116 apartments and feature a nearly 25,000 retail space on its ground floor, according to filings with the city's Department of Buildings.

The complex would also include an unspecified "community facility" spanning just over 30,000-square-feet and a massive parking garage with room for 411 vehicles, the filings state.
Avi Matatov, manager of RB Realty Capital, is developing the project. He bought the site for $12 million in January from its Bahar Corporation, which previously cleared the lot with plans to build a third of the new one's size, YIMBY reported.
