Queens Borough Hall To Host Food Giveaway

At the pop-up event Tuesday, the organization Hungry Monk will give away 1,300 boxes of food — no questions asked.

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS — Queens Borough Hall is hosting a pop-up event Tuesday giving away 1,300 boxes of food, no questions asked.

The boxes of free food come courtesy of the Queens-based organization Hungry Monk, which is dedicated to fighting homelessness and food insecurity across New York City.

The giveaway will happen at 12:30 p.m. in the rear parking lot of Queens Borough Hall in Kew Gardens, according to Queens Borough President Donovan Richards.

"Far too many Queens families are facing the tragic injustice of food insecurity," Richards said in a tweet.
