Queens Borough Hall Hosts Black History Month Celebration

Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee is hosting a night of cultural performances, honors and awards Wednesday for Black History Month.

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS — Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz and the African American Heritage Committee will celebrate Black History Month with a night of cultural performances, honors, awards and more.

During the celebration Wednesday in Queens Borough Hall's Helen Marshall Cultural Center, the borough president's office will recognize student scholars and outstanding community members.

The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.
