All branches of the Queens Public Library are closed Monday and Tuesday due to hazardous weather conditions from the nor'easter.

QUEENS, NY — All branches of the Queens Public Library are closed Monday and Tuesday due to hazardous weather conditions from the nor'easter that arrived in New York City on Sunday night.
Virtual programming will continue as scheduled, the library said on social media. Updates are available on the Queens Public Library website.
New York City is under a state of emergency because of the storm, which is expected to bring at least 18 inches of snow and wind gusts as strong as 45 mph.

Those blizzard-like conditions prompted Mayor Bill de Blasio to cancel in-person classes at public schools Monday and Tuesday. Food distribution at schools buildings is also canceled.
