Rosalia's Pizza Announces Grand Opening And Free Food

One customer said Rosalia's "feels like home."

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — When Rosalia’s Pizza debuted for a soft opening in June, owner Joe Romano told Patch that the pizzeria was feeling things out at the time. But now, Romano said, Rosalia’s is gearing up for an official grand opening on Aug. 12.

Located at 103-15 Queens Blvd. near the corner of 68th Drive, Rosalia’s Pizza is a purveyor of authentic Italian food. According to Romano, his recipes were handed down in his family from generation to generation.

The grand opening, set for 2 to 5 p.m., will feature music and free food, Romano said. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

Another customer said that Rosalia’s feels like home.

Romano, who told Patch that he has been in the pizza business for more than 20 years, doesn’t currently live in Forest Hills, but he wants to get more involved in the neighborhood — to be a part of it — and to get to know Forest Hills residents.

“Everything’s in place,” Romano told Patch.

“We want everybody to know that we’re ready for them.”
