SEE IT: Smoke From Car Fire Engulfs Buildings In Forest Hills

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A car fire on Grand Central Parkway spread between two buildings in Forest Hills on Thursday, according to the FDNY.

The car fire was first reported around 3:39 p.m. on the expressway, near 75-44 Grand Central Parkway. Five minutes later fire officials reported that the blaze had spread between two adjacent buildings.

Videos posted to the Citizen app show the buildings and surrounding area engulfed in smoke.

Less than five minutes later, around 3:48 p.m., the fire department reported that officials got the blaze under control.

Patch reached out to the fire department for comment but they did not reply immediately. As of 4:00 p.m. the FDNY has not reported that anyone is hurt.
