Stranger Punches Woman In The Face In Kew Gardens Subway: Police

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS — A woman suffered facial fractures after a stranger punched her in the face in the Kew Gardens subway station Wednesday morning, according to police.

The 63-year-old woman was standing on the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station's southbound E/F platform about 8:30 a.m. when a man came up to her and punched her, the NYPD said in a news release.

She was brought to LIJ Forest Hills hospital.

The man fled the station and is still at large, police said Thursday night.
