REGO PARK, QUEENS — Police are investigating after a drawing of a swastika was discovered Wednesday outside the Rego Park Jewish Center.
Someone scrawled the swastika on a "public property" sign affixed to the steps leading up to the synagogue at 97-30 Queens Blvd., according to police and the volunteer group Queens Shmira.
NYPD Captain Joseph E. Cappelmann, the commanding officer of the 112th Precinct, called it an “absolutely disgusting, cowardly act."
