WATCH: Armed Thief Mocks Security After Robbing Rego Park Store
The man laughed as he fled a Rego Park Burlington Coat Factory with a stolen Adidas bag after flashing a gun at security guards, cops say.
REGO PARK, QUEENS -- A thief was caught on tape laughing and making faces as he fled a Rego Park Burlington Coat Factory with a stolen duffel bag after flashing a gun at security guards.
The perp tried to sneak out of the discount department store inside the Rego Center Mall on May 17 with an Adidas duffel bag he hadn't paid for when security guards stopped him, police said.
The man flashed what appeared to be a gun in his waistband and bolted from the store on Queens Boulevard, taunting security guards on the way out, cops said.

The NYPD released surveillance footage on Sunday of him making faces and waving at security guards as he ran down stairs outside the department store. Police estimated the man is around 20-30 years old.
