25-Year-Old Man Robbed by 2 Suspects in Fort Greene Subway Station

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A 25-year-old man was robbed inside a Fort Greene subway station by two unidentified male suspects (pictured above) in late September, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said.
The man was waiting for a train inside the DeKalb Ave. Q subway station on Friday, Sept. 30., at around 7:30 p.m., when the two male suspects removed the man's bag after he had set the bag down on a bench, NYPD said.
The two suspects emptied the contents of the victim's bag and attempted to board a southbound Q train, but the victim prevented the suspects from boarding, and the suspects fled to the street above, police said.

Detectives describe the two male suspects as 17 to 25 years old; the first suspect was least seen wearing a gray hoodie, and the second suspect was last seen wearing a black cap and a blue t-shirt, NYPD said.
This crime took place in the NYPD's 84th Precinct, which patrols Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill and Vinegar Hill. Through Oct. 2, robberies in the 84th were up 16 percent compared to the same period in 2015, according to official police statistics.
