Bronx Man Dies in Downtown Brooklyn Construction Accident
Paul Kenedy, 43, of the Bronx, died while working on a construction site at 61 Bond St. in Downtown Brooklyn on Tuesday, police said.
BOERUM HILL, BROOKLYN — A 43-year-old construction worker from the Bronx died following an apparent accident at a construction site on the Boerum Hill/Downtown Brooklyn border Tuesday afternoon, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said.
Police responded to a 911 call on Tuesday, Oct. 11, to 61 Bond St., between State and Schermerhorn Streets, at around 1:21 p.m., and found Paul Kenedy, of East 237th Street in the Bronx,"unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to the head and body," NYPD said.
"I went to get some pizza and I came back and he was dead," a security guard at the construction site told the New York Post. "It happened that fast. Something detached from the machine. It busted him in the head and he was dead.”

Emergency responders pronounced Kenedy dead at the scene and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death as the investigation ongoing, detectives said
A 285 room hotel will go up at 61 Bond St., the site where Kenedy died, with Broadway Construction Group managing the construction of the 13 story building that will top out at 140 feet, according to New York YIMBY.
