Brooklyn High School Closed Due to Shooting Threat: UPDATES

Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School received the threat over Facebook, police say.

UPDATE, 10 a.m.: A 15-year-old has been taken into custody in connection with the Facebook threat, according to the NYPD.

Officials at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, a college-prep Catholic school on the border of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, told the school’s approximately 750 students to stay home on Wednesday due to a recent shooting threat.

“School is closed today,” a school representative told Patch around 9:45 a.m. ”There will be more information forthcoming on the website.”
