Council Member Cumbo Asks for Community Input at Public Workshop
Brooklyn is putting together the city's first-ever comprehensive cultural plan and needs your input.

From Office of New York City Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo: New York Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo, chair of the Committee on Women's Issues and a member of the Committee on Cultural Affairs as well as Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl will participate in the Brooklyn borough-wide public workshop this Tuesday on the CreateNYC cultural plan at BRIC. The workshop is the first in a series of community outreach events across the five boroughs planned by the Department of Cultural Affairs through spring 2017 for New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds to give their input in the creation of the city's first-ever comprehensive cultural plan.
Participants will also include BRIC President Leslie Schultz as well as Brooklyn residents and stakeholders. The meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at BRIC House, 647 Fulton St. To RSVP, call Ryan Max, publicaffairs@culture.nyc.gov; 212-513-9323.
