Downtown Brooklyn Fire Reported On 4th Floor Of Schermerhorn St. Building
Dozens of firefighters were working to put out the fire in the 12-story residential building on Schermerhorn St., the FDNY said.
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a 12-floor apartment building in Downtown Brooklyn Monday evening, the FDNY confirmed. Over 70 firefighters rushed to the glassy residential building at 160 Schermerhorn St. after getting the 911 call at 4:29 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson said. There were no injuries, and firefighters were still on the scene as of Monday at 5 p.m., the FDNY spokesperson said.
