Driver Charged In Fatal Fort Greene Accident

Police have updated the charges in a Fort Greene accident that claimed the life of a 9-year-old boy on Saturday.

Anthony Byrd, 59, of Clinton Hill, was slammed with a raft of charges after his SUV hopped a curb in Fort Greene and struck four people, injuring two women and a 5-year-old boy and killing a 9-year-old boy.

Byrd was charged with criminally negligent homicide, assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and reckless driving, among others, according to investigators. 

Byrd stayed with his vehicle at the time of the accident and was arrested at the scene.
