Fort Greene Agenda: Friday Night Fireworks, Brooklyn Flea, Brunch at Castro's

Weekend activities abound in the Fort Greene-Clinton Hill area.

It's summer, the sun is shining, and everyone is in a better mood. Let's take that positive energy and spread it at some of the incredible Brooklyn events this weekend.

Friday
Friday Night Fireworks at Coney Island: Brooklyn may have been overlooked by the city's Fourth of July spectacular, but did you know you can catch booming, sparkly explosions in the sky every Friday night through August 30th in Coney Island? YES! Shining bright above the Wonder Wheel will be an array of pyrotechnics in honor of, well, we're not entirely sure. But, hey, fireworks! Free; 9:30 p.m.; boardwalk between West 10th Street and West 15th Street.

Saturday
When was the last time you hit the flea? If you can't remember, it's been too long. Head over to the schoolyard at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School for some midday antiquing, artisanal food vendors and local craft items. Plus, this weekend is the Ice Cream  10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 176 Lafayette Avenue, between Clermont and Vanderbilt Avenues.

Sunday
Get your brunch on at Castro's: Eat like a king for little cashola and have your choice of Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Tortas, Chilaquiles con Huevos, Burritos and other spicy deliciousness. 8 a.m.- 11 p.m.; 511 Myrtle Avenue.
