Black "Artstory" Month, Parks Without Borders, dedicate a bench for Valentine's Day, and more.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Fort Greene park isn't just a place to go sledding after all that snow. It's a park that hosts workshops, discussions, celebrations, art exhibits and more. Here's the park's upcoming February schedule, courtesy of Fort Greene Parks Conservancy:

Through the Parks Without Borders program, Fort Greene Park was chosen to receive a share of $40 million for the redesign of its entrances, edges, and underused spaces. At this meeting, NYC Parks will present new design ideas and other updates, and we need your feedback!
Join us at the Ingersoll Community Center to provide your ideas for how we can make Fort Greene Park better.

Celebrate Black Artstory Month In February with Myrtle Avenue
Join our friends at Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership for a full month of free events, walks, and exhibits celebrating the vital role and traditions around healing, restoration, and realignment in African Diaspora communities.
Events will take place every Friday evening.

Fort Greene History and Colonial Games
Step back in time and play some colonial games with the Brooklyn Urban Park Rangers as part of Kids Week Brooklyn! The history of Fort Greene Park provides the perfect backdrop as we experience what Colonial-era kids played during their free time.
