Two Students To Be Awarded Full High School Scholarships - The Winchendon School | Brooklyn

Through the support of a generous alumnus, The Winchendon School | Brooklyn announces the Young Innovator Awards.

Scholarship Overview
The Young Innovator Scholarships will cover 100% of the tuition costs at The Winchendon School | Brooklyn for two students up to four years.*
Innovation knows no limits - and crosses many different disciplines - from technology to the arts, from serving the community to being a good role model. Perhaps you have a view towards the next generation of music or dance, or an idea for the next killer app or small business, or a plan to better serve younger kids, or a way to bring positive change to your block, neighborhood or country. Tell us about it. We want to hear from the next generation of innovators - and you could earn a free high school education.
Who is Eligible
Applicants must start in September 2018, reside in one of the five boroughs – and have interesting ideas!
How to Apply
Submit a completed YOUNG INNOVATOR AWARD APPLICATION and essay by February 17th
Students will be notified of their scholarship status by February 26th with their admission decision.
The core elements of the evaluation process will include the following:

1. No more than two-page essay accompanied by a presentation (could be short video, slide deck, poster or audio)
2. Conversation with the Head of The Winchendon School | Brooklyn or another TWS representative
3. Completion of the admission application, include a reference letter from a current teacher, report cards from the last three semesters (or four trimesters) and standardized test scores (if available)
*Young Innovator Scholarship Winners must maintain good academic and social standing to remain eligible to continue to benefit from the scholarship.
