LOOK: New Fort Greene Apartment Tower Has Insane Views, Ground-Floor Market

"The Ashland" at 250 Ashland Place hosted its official opening party Wednesday night.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A new 53-floor high rise at 250 Ashland Place, on the corner of Fulton Street, recently started accepting applications to lease its ultra-modern units. But it was the tower's other amenities that resonated with the crowd in attendance at its Wednesday night opening party.

The Ashland's communal roof terraces, in particular, attracted many oohs and aahs on opening night. And it's not hard to see why: They boast stunning views of both Manhattan and Brooklyn, not unlike the views from the units themselves.

The apartment mix includes studios to three-bedroom units ranging from approximately $2,600 for a studio to $7,500 for a three-bedroom apartment.

Renderings of the apartments feature smart, contemporary kitchens with open spaces and clean, simple designs that reflect the overall theme of the tower: sleek but comfortable.

Floor-to-ceiling windows in each unit let in heaps of natural light — and let city panoramas act as a distant, geometric sort of wall art.

A gym, fitness studios, bike storage, stroller parking and concierge service round out the building's list of upscale amenities. What most attendees at the building's opening party wanted to know more about, though, was the arrival of Gotham Market at The Ashland in January.

Located on the ground floor of the building and claiming to reinvent the dining experience, Gotham Market at The Ashland will house eight different eating and drinking venues and a rotating pop-up shop.

The Brooklyn Academy of Music, BRIC and the reported site of Brooklyn's new Apple Store are all within a block's radius.

The Ashland is also luring prospective tenants with deals on one- and two-year leases that include up to one free month and no pet-related fees.

Those interested in seeing the units are invited to stop by the leasing office seven days per week; appointments not necessary.
