NYC Subway Delays: Signal Problems Slow B, D, N and Q Trains

Signal problems at Dekalb are ruining some New Yorker's Christmas Eve commute.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Signal problems at the Dekalb Avenue station have stalled several subway lines.

MTA suggested commuters take the 2, 3, 4 or 5 train between Manhattan and Brooklyn Monday morning instead of B, D, N and Q lines that were severely delayed.

"The Northbound B, D, N, and Q trains are running with delays while our crews resolve a signal problem at DeKalb Av.," MTA tweeted around 9:30 a.m.

Some N and Q trains ran on the R line from Dekalb to Canal instead and some northbound W trains ran on the Q line from 57th Street to 96th Street, MTA said. The signal problem at Dekalb was fixed about an hour later, but extensive delays are still expected.

Some commuters on Twitter said the delays were as long as a half an hour. One rider said he was stuck between stations during the delay.
