Road Milling Scheduled for Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, Parking Suspended
Partial and full closures of roadways during milling in Fort Green and Clinton Hill are scheduled between Sept. 19 - 23.
FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Milling and repaving will close four streets in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill Sept. 19 - 23, the Department of Transportation (DOT) announced. Streets are generally repaved one or two weeks after they are milled, the DOT said.
Weather permitting, the following streets are scheduled to be milled:
- Greene Avenue (Fulton Street to Grand Avenue); Sept. 19 and 20.
- Clifton Place (Classon Avenue to St. James Place); Sept. 20 - 22.
- Putnam Avenue (Downing Street to Classon Avenue); Sept. 22.
- Gates Avenue (Fulton Street to Classon Avenue) Sept. 22 and 23.
According to the DOT: "Vehicles left on these streets when work is ready to be performed will be relocated, generally within three blocks. DOT encourages owners of relocated vehicles to first walk around the neighborhood. If owners are not able to locate their vehicle, they may telephone (718) 222-7285 to learn where it was towed to."
