Tavi Gevinson Getting Paid For Posting Instagrams Of Her Fort Greene Apartment

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — In what might be a first in marketing history, magazine founder and social influencer Tavi Gevinson has struck up a formal partnership with a building management company to advertise the apartment in which she lives.

Gevinson has been posting Instagrams from her new Fort Greene apartment, 300 Ashland, and hashtagging them with #300AshlandPartner to make it clear they are part of a financial agreement between her and the management company, Two Trees.

A rep from Two Trees confirmed that the 20-year-old does have a partnership with the company, meaning she is being compensated for her advertisements. She does however still pay rent.

In a rental market crowded with perfectly staged model apartments, we wanted to show what it's really like to live in a Two Trees building. Our influencers will continue to create the same great content while enjoying their new homes and neighborhoods, and will be hosting special experiences open to our residents. The representative for Two Trees would not comment on the terms of the deal or who approached whom to strike up the partnership.

The glassy, towering 300 Ashland Place features a resident lounge, 24-hour fitness center, luxurious roof terrace with outdoor seating and a location in the middle of all things North Brooklyn.

Gevinson launched a socially conscious publication for teenagers called Rookie after the fashion blog she began when she was only 11 made it big and sent her into worldwide stardom. The actress and writer has 539,000 Instagram followers, all of whom will see her captions outwardly admiring her new digs.
