The Early Word: Seddio Selected to Lead Brooklyn Dems

1. Frank Seddio, a former Assemblyman from South Brooklyn, became chairman of the Brooklyn Democratic Party in a vote by appointed and elected district leaders this week. Seddio beat out several other candidates including Assemblyman Karim Camara and Jo Anne Simon for the top spot. In a statement Thursday, newly elected District Leader and Clinton Hill resident Renee Collymore said she was "comfortable" with Seddio's selection. "I am pleased to know that Frank is setting up changes that is very democratic within our Body and I believe that we are on the road to a fresh new start," Collymore wrote.
