Adam Sandler Movie Films At Local Sports Facility

There hasn't been a shortage of famous actor sightings in the recent weeks thanks to Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Steve Buscemi filming a Netflix movie in the area.

This time, the cast for "The Week Of" were shooting at John Maccarone Memorial (City) Stadium in Glen Cove on Tuesday.

Glen Cove Mayor Reggie Spinello and the City's Parks & Recreation team visited the movie set and were able to meet Sandler.

"I thanked Adam for selecting our city for his movie and extended my appreciation for supporting our local businesses," Spinello said in a post on his Facebook page. "Adam said how nice the people of Glen Cove have been and that our parks team has been great to work with."

Last week, Sandler, Rock and Buscemi were spotted dining at Stella Ristorante in Floral Park while taking a break from filming.

"The Week Off" will be released in 2018. The movie is about the parents of an engaged couple who are in the final week of preparations for the wedding, according to IMDB. In the movie, Sandler's daughter is set to marry Rock's son.
