Adult Summer Reading 2021

Celebrate Summer Reading by Participating in Our 2021 Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Mix up your reading routine and broaden your horizons. The staff at the Glen Cove Public Library have created a challenge to push you outside your reading comfort zone and into new literary realms. The Reading Challenge begins Monday, June 21st. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, August 27th. Winners will be notified by email on Tuesday, August 31st.

How it works

  • Must be 16+ and have a valid Glen Cove Public Library card.
  • Participants are encouraged to choose 2 out of the 12 categories listed below. E-books, audiobooks, books…ALL are acceptable!
  • You can submit reviews online HERE or at the Information desk.
  • Each book review submitted will be entered for a chance to win a prize.

Rules
Read and review 2 books. Pick a book that fits one of the categories listed below and write the book title and short review HERE.
Categories
– Read a book by or about a person you would like to meet.
– Read a book by a popular author you’ve never read.
– Read a book recommended by a Glen Cove Public Library staff member.
– Read a classic novel.
– Read a book set in New York.
– Read a book that won an award.
– Read a book about refugees or the immigrant experience.
– Read a book about friendship.
– Read a mystery or thriller.
– Read a book based on a true story.
– Read a book that takes place in the future.
– Read a book made into a movie.
