All Day Folk Festival In Glen Cove
The lineup features Glen Cove's own Matt Grabowski.

An all day Folk Festival will take place in Morgan Park in Glen Cove on Sunday, Aug. 20.
The free event begins at 2 p.m., rain or shine, and is sponsored by United Healthcare Community Plan. Residents and their children are welcome to bring a blanket and chairs or even set up a picnic.

- Dar Williams— the festival headliner is known for her raw acoustic energy as for her staunch progressive ideals. She has been performing since the 90s.
- Amy Helm— a singer-songwriter who is the the daughter of the famed The Band drummer Levon Helm.
- Glen Cove’s own Matt Grabowski— he combines elements of folk, rock and blues, with lyrics that recall Harry Chapin and Bob Dylan. He has been taking Long Island by storm since his July 2014 solo debut.
- Guy Davis— known as “An Ambassador of the Blues," Davis' hit songs include "Stomp Down Rider," as well as "Call Down the Thunder," "You Don’t Know My Mind," and "Chocolate to the Bone."

Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is a nonprofit organization that has been providing free concerts in the park for 58 years. The shows are completely funded through donations received from businesses and individuals.
