All Saints Regional School To Close In 2019

The school is closing due to a large decline in enrollment.

All Saints Regional School in Glen Cove will close at the end of the 2019 school year due to a sharp decline in enrollment, the Diocese of Rockville Centre announced on Thursday.

St. Joseph School in Ronkonkoma will also close in June.

"This was a difficult decision— one that was made after much thought and prayer," Kathleen Walsh, Superintendent of Schools at the Diocese, said in a statement. "My department will assist parents and students in the process of selecting and transferring to any Catholic elementary school within our diocese."

"Rigorous review of the impact of declining enrollment on each school's financial health by parish and diocesan leadership, has made it clear that it is not feasible to maintain them financially," the Diocese said in a statement.
