GLEN COVE, NY—The notorious doctor of Auschwitz infamous for his inhumane medical experiments on concentration camp prisoners is the topic of discussion at an upcoming event sponsored by the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center.

On Feb. 2 at 1 p.m., Dr. David Marwell, historian and former CEO of the Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, will present a talk based on his new book, "Mengele: Unmasking the 'Angel of Death.'" Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase.

In the author's book, he describes the international search for the Nazi doctor in 1985 that ended in a cemetery in Sao Paulo, Brazil and the forensic investigation that produced overwhelming evidence that Mengele had died―but failed to convince those who, arguably, most wanted him dead.
