Carvel Celebrates Grand Opening in Glen Cove

Residents were treated to ice cream cones, mini-ice cream cakes and more.

A new Carvel ice cream shop in Glen Cove recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand opening.

The ribbon cutting ceremony, held on Thursday, featured Carvel's mascot, Fudgie the Whale. Residents were treated to ice cream cones, mini-ice cream cakes and a week's worth of promotional specials.

Carvel is located at the Glen Cove Shopping Center, located at 181 Forest Avenue. The chain is known for its soft serve ice cream and its signature ice cream cakes.

Mayor Reggie Spinello welcomed the Carvel store owners and operators Tony Yuen and Ping Hu to Glen Cove during the ceremony.

The store held a soft opening two weeks prior to its grand opening.
