Celebrate The Season In Glen Cove: Full Holiday Schedule
The celebrations kick off Saturday, Nov. 25 and continue into 2017.

The City of Glen Cove's long list of holiday celebrations is set to kick off Saturday.
Residents can flock to downtown Glen Cove at 1:30 p.m. to kickstart the Celebrate the Season holiday festivities.
There will be Christmas trees custom decorated by local businesses and families, free horse and carriage rides, hot cocoa and soup, photos with Santa, musical entertainment and more.

“The holidays are a special time in the City of Glen Cove and each year new programs are added to engage and entertain residents of all ages,” Glen Cove Mayor Reggie Spinello said in a press release. “With great shops and boutiques, restaurants and our Tree of Light, Glen Cove is the perfect holiday destination for families.”
From late November and into 2017, residents will have the chance to attend several holiday happenings, including a Winter Wonderland Event, City Hall Holiday Marketplace, Milk & Cookies with Santa and a Toys 4 Tots Rally.

Saturday, Nov. 25:
- Celebrate the Season in the City of Glen Cove with a fun-filled day of holiday frolic, shopping and joy at the Glen Cove Village Square, School Street, Glen Cove
- Stroll the streets of Downtown Glen Cove to see its Merry Tree Festival
- 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Free Horse & Carriage rides, photos with Santa and free hot cocoa, coffee and candy canes.
- 3:30 Glen Cove High School Jazz Band Performance
- 4:45: Celebration of Glen Cove’s Tree of Light with Tree Lighting and residents are asked to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys 4 Tots. Musical performance by Frank Rendo.
- Support Glen Cove businesses during “Shop Small Business” Saturday for holiday gifts
Saturday, Nov. 25 – Jan. 6, 2018
- Glen Cove’s Second Annual Merry Tree Festival- take a walking tour of downtown Glen Cove on School and Glen Streets and see 40 “living” holiday trees that have been custom decorated by area businesses and families.
- Open daily and after Jan. all trees will be planted in City parks/properties and five trees to be planted at Glen Cove’s Christmas Tree Farm in Dennis Brian Murray Park.
Friday, Dec. 1
- Blessing of the Crèche, 7:30 p.m., St. Patrick’s Church
Saturday, Dec. 2
- St. Paul’s Church Holiday Boutique, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 28 Highland Road
- St. Rocco’s Food Truck Festival & Holiday Extravaganza Boutique, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., 18 Third Street
Saturday, Dec. 9
- City of Glen Cove Downtown Holiday Marketplace, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 9 Glen Street, Glen Cove City Hall
- Featuring homemade, hand crafted and home-based business gifts and goodies and proceeds benefit the Glen Cove Youth Bureau
- Glen Cove Rotary Club’s Breakfast with Santa; 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., The Regency. For more information call (516) 676-2800 and a participation fee will be charged.
Sunday, December 10
- U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys 4 Tots collection and rally sponsored by Martino Auto Concepts & Exotics4Life.
- From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at 1 School Street, Glen Cove residents can donate new unwrapped toys to be donated to the less fortunate
- Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce’s Winter Wonderland at the Glen Cove Mansion, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., 200 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove
Friday, Dec. 15
- Glen Cove Youth Bureau’s Milk & Cookies with Santa at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
- Each registered family will receive a free photo with Santa; enjoy a holiday reading and delicious treats. This is a free event but reservations are required for children for children from infancy to age 10 and their families.
- Call the Glen Cove Youth Bureau at (516) 671-4600 between 11/28-12/7 for reservations, Glen Cove residents only and space is limited.
Saturday, Dec. 16
- Glen Cove Hospital Northwell Health’s Holiday Spectacular, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., 101 St. Andrews Lane. Free holiday family fun.
Sunday, Dec. 17
- Lighting of the Grand Chanukah Menorah, 4:30 p.m. at Glen Cove’s Village Square. Call (516) 626-0600 for more information.
Monday, Dec. 18
- Christmas celebration lunch at the Glen Cove Senior Center, 12 p.m., 130 Glen Street
Saturday, Jan. 6
- City of Glen Cove 100th Birthday Gala at the Glen Cove Mansion. Food, entertainment and salute to Glen Cove’s oldest businesses. For tickets visit www.GlenCove350.com.
- Annual Chip-A-Tree Recycling at Morgan Memorial Park from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon sponsored by the Glen Cove Beautification Commission. Beginning December 29, trees amy be dropped off to a designated area in the Morgan Park lot and those trees will be chipped at the January 6th event.
