6:30 PM  -  8:30 PMPAY LESS INCOME TAX     Barry Lisak offers a seminar to help reduce one’s Federal and New York State taxes. Topics covered include education, homeownership, charitable contributions, medical investment, employee and miscellaneous deductions. New tax laws will be highlighted and a free booklet, Last Minute Tax Strategies, will be distributed to all attendees. Barry Lisak is an IRS enrolled agent and has been a tax professional for the last 30 years. He is currently the weekly tax columnist for New York’s civil service newspaper, The Chief.

7:00 PMTHE HEALTH & WELFARE COUNCIL OF LONG ISLAND OFFERS A WORKSHOP ON THE SNAP PROGRAM     Representatives of the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island will offer information and provide applications for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), previously known as food stamps. SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families. A presentation of Medicaid, Child Health plus and Obamacare plans will also be offered.  Location: Community Room
