Disabled Hockey Teams Will Play Tournament at Town Rink
Event will be held Feb. 2 at Town of Oyster Bay's Ice Skating Center in Bethpage.

A hockey tournament for physically and developmentally challenged players will be held Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Town of Oyster Bay's Ice Skating Center in Bethpage, according to the Town.
“These games will showcase some talented players, who, despite their challenges, play a very competitive game,” said Supervisor John Venditto. “It’s inspirational to see them overcome their obstacles by focusing on their abilities, not their disabilities.”
Venditto said the Long Island Blues Special Hockey Winter Classic will be an opportunity for residents to enjoy some great hockey and the Town's state-of-the-art ice skating center, which has hosted many competitive and community events featuring some high-profile skaters.
