Glen Cove Basketball's 'Big 4' Honored At County Dinner

The team had one of the best regular season records in school history, going 17-2 and earning a Conference Championship.

Members of the Glen Cove High School’s boys varsity basketball team were recognized at the Nassau County Basketball Coaches Association’s annual dinner, which honors the best players in the county, at the LI Marriott in Uniondale on March 22.

Glen Cove was the recipient of four awards. Captains Kevin Ernest, who led the team in scoring, and Neri Romero, who led the team in assists and free throw shooting percentage, received All-County honors. Sophomore Jared Jackson and senior Christopher "Woody" Blissett received All-Conference honors. The combined efforts of the “Big 4” helped Glen Cove to have one of the best regular season records in school history, going 17-2 and earning a Conference Championship.

The district congratulates the team and coach Peter Falen on a great season.
