Glen Cove Beaches Open This Saturday
Free flip flops will be handed out to beachgoers starting at noon.

Glen Cove beaches at Morgan Memorial Park and Pryibil Beach will officially open on Saturday, May 27.
Glen Cove Parks & Recreation staff members will be handing out free flip flops beginning at noon while supplies and sizes last.
“We are excited to kick-off Glen Cove’s beach season and what better way to get kids excited to enjoy the great outdoors than with a new pair of flip flops,” Darcy Belyea, director of Glen Cove Parks and Recreation, said in a press release.

Starting Saturday, Glen Cove beaches will be open on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beaches will also be open on Memorial Day.
The beaches will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday, June 26.

Free beach permits are available to Glen Cove residents with proof of residency at the Parks & Recreation Office in room 206 at 9 Glen St. or at the beach gates. Locust Valley residents have access to Morgan Beach and can pick up their passes at the Morgan Memorial Park gate.

Due to an Long Island-wide lifeguard shortage, there will be times where both Glen Cove beaches may not be staffed. The City urges residents to swim with care and parents are advised to monitor their children when they are playing in the water.
