Glen Cove BID Improves Green Spaces

In recent years, the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District has worked to transform neglected spots in downtown into colorful mixes of flowers and shrubs.

Areas near the parking garages, the walkways to parking, and the Bridge St. bus stops have benefited from a mix of annual and perennial plants, blooming forsythia and other bushes, and new street furnishings.

With the volunteer planning of the Capital Improvements Committee and the expert efforts of Cabo Landscaping, the Downtown BID has embarked upon a more extensive maintenance program for the green spaces in downtown, including continuing plantings, mulching and other weed control, and continuous pruning and clean-up. More streetscape improvements are in the planning stages.
