Glen Cove Child Day Care Center, Inc. Receives $1.5M Funding
The federal funding comes from the Head Start program with the goal of preparing young children for education in Nassau County.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Glen Cove Child Day Care Center, Inc. will receive $1.5 million in federal funding, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced Friday.
The funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Head Start Program and will be used to support child care and support services for low-income families in Nassau County.
"Study after study shows that the better we prepare our young children, through programs like Head Start, the better they perform in school later in life," Schumer stated via press release. "This federal funding for Glen Cove Child Day Care Center, Inc. will bring real results to young students on Long Island by providing them with the resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom."
