Glen Cove High School Inducts 49 New NHS Members

Glen Cove, N.Y. — The Glen Cove City School District recently announced that 49 students were inducted into the Glen Cove High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) in recognition of their leadership qualities, commitment to community service and academic excellence.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nationwide premier organization that recognizes outstanding high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Students chosen have a minimum cumulative GPA of 90%, make voluntary contributions to their school or community, and exemplify characteristics such as being dependable, resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, and idea contributors. These students uphold principles of morality and ethics, are cooperative, demonstrate high standards of honesty and reliability, show courtesy, concern and respect for others.
