Glen Cove Joins State Online Purchasing, Vendor System

GLEN COVE, NY – The City of Glen Cove announced this week it has joined the Empire State Purchasing Group in order to begin publishing and distributing bid opportunities online and offer cost-saving opportunities.

The Empire State Purchasing Group connects participating agencies from across New York State to a large group of vendors in order to streamline the bid and management process. The system provides notifications to registered vendors of new relevant solicitations.

The goal of the online management source is to provide local towns with the tools needed to minimize costs and save time in the purchasing process. In addition the existing vendors within the system, all vendors who are looking to do business with the City of Glen Cove can register online at bidnetdirect.com/new-york.

"Our vendors can now save time and paper," said Yelena Quiles, purchasing agent of the City of Glen Cove, in a prepared statement. "They not only have direct access to our open bids, but those from other agencies throughout the state."
