Glen Cove Looks To Hire Lifeguards For Summer 2019

Anyone 16 years old or older is able to apply.

The City of Glen Cove is looking to hire athletic-minded individuals to work as lifeguards this upcoming beach season.

Anyone 16 years old or older is able to apply.

All applicants who complete an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course and the Nassau County certification tests will be guaranteed a job at the Glen Cove beaches this year. They will also be reimbursed for the American Red Cross course fee.

“The American Red Cross lifeguard training course ensures that all potential lifeguards will keep our beach-goers safe, while getting in good shape,” Glen Cove Mayor Tim Tenke said in a press release.

Glen Cove beaches are staffed seven days a week during peak season. Work schedules are flexible to meet all employees' needs on a part-time or full-time basis. Glen Cove beaches open on Saturday, May 25.
