GLEN COVE, NY — A public hearing is planned Tuesday on plans to demolish an auto repair shop in Glen Cove and build a new 7-Eleven convenience store.

The public city planning board meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers. Three items are on the agenda for the meeting, the last of which is an application by Luigi Cerullo of Manilu Holdings that seeks a special use permit and approval for plans to raze the Ang's Service Station building on 4th Street and Cedar Swamp Road.

In its place would be a new 7-Eleven convenience store spanning 2,400 square feet. If the plan is approved, this would be the fourth 7-Eleven store in the city, the nearest of which is about 3/4 of a mile north on Glenn Street.
