Glen Cove Rockers to Perform at Molloy

Antigone Rising to play in Rockville Center on Oct. 18.

Glen Cove rockers Antigone Rising will play a show at the Madison Theater at Molloy College in Rockville Center on Friday, Oct. 18. 

Antigone Rising founding members sisters Cathy and Kristen Henderson graduated form Glen Cove High School. Their band gained notice in 2005, when it became the first band on Starbuck's Hear Music (Lava Records) with their best selling debut LP.

The band includes Nini Camps, Kristen Henderson (bass /vocals), Cathy Henderson (lead guitar /vocals) and Dena Tauriello (drums). The band's current CD, "23 Red" features songs that have been described as speaking “to the full range of emotions and life.” The band has opened for The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and performs regularly at festivals around the country.

They performed in Glen Cove in July as part of the "Downtown Sounds" concert series. 

Antigone Rising is in the studio putting the finishing touches on a new EP due out late summer. Their current single and video is “That Was The Whiskey."  Other fan favorites are "Everywhere is Home" and “Borrowed Time."  All music available on iTunes.
