Glen Cove Summer Registration Begins

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Glen Cove Summer Camp registration officially kicked off on Thursday, the Department of Parks and Recreation announced.

Held at Glen Cove’s Deasy School, the city’s summer camp program offers children, ages four through students entering the 8th grade in the fall, a summer filled with a variety of activities from sports, arts and crafts, beach and park visits along with trips to area attractions.

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, said Darcy Belyea, Director, Glen Cove Parks & Recreation.

“From our Pee Wee camper program for four and five year olds and our Crazy 8’s travel camp for boys and girls entering the 8th grade to our very special camp offering for differently-abled children, our program offers something for every child.”

Parents must register their children in-person at Glen Cove’s City Hall, first floor conference room, on the dates and times noted below:

  • Thursday, April 27 from 9:30 a.m. to noon (For Pee Wee, Crazy 8’s and Siblings Only)
  • Friday, April 28 from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, May 8 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, May 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 18 from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 20 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Camp fees are $460 for Pee Wee Camp, $515 for Regular Camp and $635 for Crazy 8’s.

Payments will be accepted with cash, money order, credit cards and checks payable to the City of Glen Cove.

Pee Wee Camp is a five week program from July 5 through August 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

First-time Pee Wee registrants must present an original birth certificate and all campers must provide proof of Glen Cove residency and a physical exam within one year of the start of camp in accordance with NYS Health Department guidelines.

Regular Day Camp and Crazy 8’s will be held from July 5th through August 11th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Bus transportation is available to and from one of five bus stops in Glen Cove.
