Hundreds Dash For Eggs At Glen Cove's Spring Egg Hunt

Hundreds of children dashed for treat-filled eggs at Glen Cove's 16th Annual Spring Egg Hunt on the morning of Saturday, April 15.

Children brought baskets and bags to collect their share of the over 12,000 colorful eggs that were scattered across the lower fields of John Maccarone Memorial (City) Stadium.

“We had a record number of kids participating in this year’s event and we are already looking forward to adding new activities for the children to enjoy at next year’s Spring Egg Hunt,” Mayor Reggie Spinello said in a press release.

Mayor Spinello joins a group of children with their Easter bonnet and baskets as they get ready for the city’s Spring Egg Hunt.

Three lucky children also received an additoinal sweet treat thanks to a selection of chocolate bunnies donated by Henry's Sweet Shoppe.

The event was coordinated by Darcy Belyea and the Parks & Recreation Department.
