Junior Rising Stars in Glen Cove

A strong work ethic is rewarded at Landing School.

Landing School students who demonstrated a strong work ethic and consistent improvement in their classes were celebrated as Junior Rising Stars at a recent school assembly.

The children, who were identified by their classroom teachers for recognition, were given a certificate, a ribbon and a trophy to recognize their hard work. Glen Cove Superintendent of Schools Maria Rianna and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Dr. Michael Israel joined Landing Principal Dimitri Kryoneris in praising the students.

“I commend you all on your hard work,” Rianna said. “We are very proud and hope you will continue to work as hard as you can to make your dreams come true.”

Two students from each class at Landing were selected as 2014-15 Junior Rising Stars. Parents of the students honored were also in attendance at the assembly.
