Major Downtown Glen Cove Street To Close For Roadwork
Construction workers will deploy flagmen to direct traffic, officials said. Police will also put up "no parking" signs.
GLEN COVE, NY — Heads up drivers — roadwork is planned in downtown Glen Cove that will close part of a major street Wednesday.
Half of Glen Street will be milled and paved where Verizon opened a trench, the Mayor Tim Tenke's office announced Tuesday. The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The road will be closed from the corner of Bridge Street to 40 Glen Street, near Jade Fortune.
