Elderly Woman Fatally Struck In Glen Cove Parking Lot

An 89-year-old woman was identified as the individual fatally struck by a vehicle in a parking lot in Glen Cove on Tuesday evening, police say.

According to authorities, Glen Cove resident Theresa Dellavecchia was struck in the Stop & Shop parking lot, located at 177 Forest Ave., at 6:32 p.m. She suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

The investigation is ongoing.
